With the Holiday shopping season upon us, I am always looking for gifts that keep on giving. Toys lose their novelty, and often get tossed to the side to collect dust once the Holidays are through. Socks and underwear are great, but kids like to have fun, and well....Clothing just isn't for many children.
I think my daughter is the exception, as she actually wants clothing now. Guess this may be a preview of the teen years. One gift I always try to give is the gift of knowledge. National Geographic Kids impressive collection of books are always at the top of our gift lists, since these books are creative, packed full of facts that are presented in a vivid, kid-friendly way, and they help supplement our homeschool instruction, too! Our favorite books from National Geographic Kids would have to be their absolutely epic Weird But True! series. These books are just what they sound like, as they teach kids things that seem so weird that they couldn't possibly be real, but ARE. Each book comes with awesome pictures and 350 mind-blowing facts! Entertaining and brain bending facts, coupled with visually stunning and eye popping photos and graphics, are the reason why the 35+ titles in the National Geographic Kids Weird But True! book franchise are considered the gold standard in educational, entertaining books for kids. With over 5 million copies sold, published in over 15 different languages, and featuring a broad range of topics from science to food to pop culture, Weird But True! books nab kids’ attention and get them reading. Now, with the release of the 10th book in the Weird But True! main series, things just got WEIRDER and it’s time to celebrate!
